Pro-ageing skincare tips to start using now
Here are 5 top pro-ageing skincare tips you can start using to keep your skin healthy and glowing as the years roll by.
Use a moisturising oil
The skin needs omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to deliver essential fatty acids to the skin to keep it supple and moisturised. Look for organic almond oil, evening primrose oil and apricot oil, found in our Organic Facial Oil.
sweat it out
Try and sweat every day with some excercise, whether that's a brisk walk in the park, a jog or yoga or pilates. The benefits of being in the fresh air help to oxygenate the cells of the skin and exercise encourages the release of toxins through sweating to help with a clearer complexion.
top up with antioxidants
The skin needs antioxidants to fight free radicals which cause premature skin ageing. External sources of free radicals are pollution and synthetic chemicals. Using skincare rich in natural antioxidants, like Vitamin E, help to neutralise the effects of free radicals. Vitamin E is blended in our Hemp-Infused Blemish Recovery Oil.
cleanse gently
As we age, the structure of the skin changes as collagen fibres weaken causing lines and wrinkles. To help slow down these physical changes in the skin, avoid scrubbing the skin. Use a gentle plant-based cleanser, like our Raspberry Seed Cleansing Oil, to remove dirt and make-up, rinse thoroughly and then pat skin dry.
read the label
Too many times, products over promise and under deliver. Some "anti-ageing" products can exacerbate the ageing process over time. The best approach: look at the ingredients on the label. One top tip is to look for gentle natural cleansing oils and plant actives instead of industrial petrochemical derivatives. At By Sarah, we detail a full ingredient list on the front label across our collection so you know exactly how you're caring for your skin.
