3 plant oils to banish dry skin this autumn

Dry skin. That's what many of the By Sarah community have told us they're experiencing as the weather changes. Dry, itchy and sensitive skin is uncomfortable. This is because dry skin does not retain moisture. Using plant oils to calm inflammation and reduce water loss helps to calm dry, inflamed skin - and there are three organic, plant oils in particular that we are recommending this autumn.

By Sarah London - olive squalane

The olive squalane we have sourced is 100% plant-based and comes from olive oil. It absorbs quickly and easily in the lipidic layers of the skin and helps to prevent moisture loss, it also aids the restoration of the skin's suppleness and natural glow. Olive squalane is blended in our Raspberry Seed Cleansing Oil.

By Sarah London - almond oil

Boosting skin's elasticity and clarity, the organic almond oil we have sourced helps to heal and repair skin. It's blend of proteins and amino acids promote the production of collagen for more supple, healthy skin. The plant oil also helps to prevent dehydration by reducing moisture loss from the skin. Organic almond oil is blended in our Organic Body Oil and Organic Facial Oil.

By Sarah London - papaya fruit enzyme

Papaya contains an enzyme which helps to gently breakdown proteins that have accumulated on the skin. Its natural and effective exfoliating properties brighten the skin by removing dead skin cells and flaky patches on the top layer of the skin, making it an excellent choice for dry skin that is also prone to acne and breakouts. Blended in our Hemp-Infused Blemish Recovery Oil
