At this most unprecedented of times of self isolation and social distancing, I reflected upon my time in protective isolation in hospital when I was treated for leukaemia.
When you are removed from society in the way I was, time has a way of slowing down. And in those (many) moments of stillness, I was given the gift of time. Time to stop, think, assess, analyse and find gratitude.
I've shared my story with Vogue here and hope that my experiences of coping with extreme isolation for a prolonged period of time and the practical steps I took will give you a sense of positivity and empowerment at a time when you can feel most powerless.
Please share with anyone who is really struggling at this time. Thank you.
