The end of the year brought with it the chance to reflect on what has been an incredible 12 months for Sarah and I. Starting all those years ago when Sarah was making plant-based skincare at home to help with my sensitive skin when I was recovering from leukaemia, we've now had the pleasure of spending the last year connecting with people as far and wide as Europe, Australia and the US, sharing our plant-based blends and vision for a new standard in conscious living by championing greater sustainability and transparency. Here's a selection of some memorable moments from 2018... It's been an incredible journey and there's lots more to come in 2019 :)
Sarah's first blend, the Organic Facial Oil, won the Best New Skincare Product Launch 2018 by The Beauty Shortlist just four months after we launched which was a wonderful surprise and honour! And not long after, the Green Clay Cleansing Balm was Highly Commended by the Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2018. We're proud to be keeping skincare simple and these are the only two products you need for your daily routine to remove make-up, cleanse and nourish your skin.
We launched our Green Clay Face Mask in May. It's one of my weekly favourites and part of my Sunday self-care ritual: I mix with raw, organic honey until a paste forms (with a consistency like icing sugar) and leave on for 5-10 minutes before washing off and finishing with a few drops of the Organic Facial Oil.
Sarah and me with big smiles as we mark our 1 year anniversary since launching BY SARAH in November 2017. We shared our story with the Metro newspaper and were so touched by the warm and kind messages we received from people all over the country who read our personal story.
It was so exciting to see the Deluxe Travel Set taken around the world by our eco-travelling customers! The Organic Lip Balm is so handy for trips: the certified-organic ingredients keep your lips so soft and it doubles up as an all-purpose balm for any dry skin patches on hands and elbows.

We launched our newest product, the omega-rich Organic Hair Oil in the autumn. It's our first hair care product! It contains certified-organic Sea Buckthorn oil which is a rare and special oil rich in omega-7, a key building block for healthy hair, helping to build elasticity and reduce split ends.
Over the summer, Sarah and I travelled to Switzerland for an adventure high up in Zermatt. You can read our Travel Journal to see why my knees were knocking in this photo! We had the pleasure of meeting many of our wonderful customers and followers at our workshops in London, where we shared skincare tips and co-hosted events with friends who inspire us on topics from plant-based food with zero-waste vegan chef, Max La Mana to yoga and mindfulness with Yogi Bear and Harvey & Mills.
BY SARAH LONDON launched in New York with an event in SoHo with one of our stockists, Wolf & Badger! Sarah flew to the Big Apple in the spring and shared her travels, including this shot by the Flat Iron Building on her way to one of our favourite juice bars, Juice Generation, for a green smoothie.
We met so many inspiring, kind and thoughtful people on Instagram who are now part of our 5000+ growing community.
