Q&A with Madeleine Shaw

What fuels your passion for wellness and the power of healthy food and movement?
What's your advice for making the healthiest choices for mind and body every day?
Tune into what your body is craving, it’s probably calling out for what it needs whether that’s a meditative moment to calm and settle or getting up moving because you feel energised. Don’t force yourself to do things you don’t enjoy because you believe it’s healthy. I really believe that it’s healthy to do what you love, so find a form of movement that gets you excited, or your favourite healthy foods, to make looking after yourself something you enjoy rather than a chore.
What's your favourite autumnal go-to recipe? And the best way to reduce food waste?
How do you balance your busy schedule and family life with your own well-being?
I haven’t always been like this, but as I’ve become older, I’ve learned to say no and prioritise. I’m realising that it’s better to do less, but be 100% present in everything you do than trying to juggle more than you can manage.
What's your favourite BY SARAH skincare to enjoy at home?
How do you keep your glow during the autumn months?
I use a light alarm clock so I wake up gradually to what feels like a sunrise rather than a noisy alarm which always sets me up for a good day. I make sure I keep up my movement whether it’s yoga at home or a studio class. And I nourish my body with stews and curries full of garlic and ginger to keep colds away.
What does the rest of 2019 have in store?
