Can I use a facial oil with oily skin?

One of the most common questions we're asked is "Can I use a face oil if I have oily skin?" and the answer is yes, you can! It might seem counterintuitive, but regenerative, rebalancing plant oils are an oily skin's best friend. Really.

Oily skin is often dehydrated and over-produces sebum to compensate for the lack of moisture, which can then cause blemishes and acne. Using the right facial oil can rehydrate and rebalance your skin for a calmer, more resilient complexion.

Should I use the Hero Facial Oil or Ally Blemish Recovery Oil?

For an everyday, vitamin-rich facial oil, choose the Hero Facial Oil.

For skin that's particularly blemish or acne-prone (including teenage skin), reach for the Ally Blemish Recovery Oil which is non pore-blocking, non-greasy, antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal and instantly brings a disrupted skin biome back into balance. Plus, it fits seamlessly into your everyday skincare routine - best applied after cleansing to damp skin, morning and night.

Hero and Ally

Do I need a hydration step too?

For optimum results, enjoy your facial oil after spritzing the face and neck with the Reviver Hydrating Mist, both morning and night.
